Since I currently have no life, I shall blog about my awesome day.

Today, instead of following my friends for a fun-filled time to Times Square, I had to settle for second best- Mid Valley. Yep, I mean nooo... I don't have anything against this wondeful mall but still, I'd rather be with you..guys. LoL =) So I went with my brother for a little bonding time, since he may be quite bummed out Manchester United lost to- whoever they lost to. Sooo...

By the way, Yann Martel is an awesome author. His novel, Life of Pi was such a dear I was hooked the first time I read it. Still was after the next three times. Thanks to Yi Wenn. So anyhoo, today I went to Border's and discovered his other novel Self. Like amg, I had to get it. The story was told in a way that reflected his own life. As I flipped through I realized that the last few pages were empty. It was the last copy so I couldn't decide if he deliberately did it (he has a knack of doing such things). And so, when I asked for help at the Help desk, they can't help me either. Bummer. And so I didn't buy it cuz I'm not much of a risk taker ;D big sigh- major disappointment. However, life goes on and I bought The White Tiger by Aravind Adiga who incidently, won The Man Booker Prize 2008 (Life of Pi was 2002).

When I got home, my mum surprises me with my favourite Ritter Sports chocolates and a couple of Belgian ones. She's not helping me much with my quest to lose 10 pounds. Thus I am currently experiencing what is known as Cognitive Dissonance.

Wow, could my life get any better?

Carry Me Home?

This is the all-talented Victor Trevino, the mastermind behind Les Ballets Grandiva.

my most favourite pic-chah! (S)he looked like (s)he just won Best Ballet Dancer in which I was the Grand Prize ;)

Gotta love these babes!

I missed everything about this performance and my memories struggle to grasp what was left of it- the fragments of which are embedded in the depths of my mind.

P.S. I am extremely excited for my own up-and-coming ballet performance! Things are looking heavenly, I've got good positions, great roles and aack! I have to lose 10 pounds by the time the concert rolls in! ;D
P.P.S. Yay for Chris being the latest American Idol! I don't know of his singing skills but he's cute. Reminds me of a shaggy dog.

Romeo Take Me Somewhere We Can Be Alone

List of things highly appropriate for exams:

  1. constantly check out the speed of your neighbour in doing the test. Compete with them in all kiasu-ness. Extremely dangerous if you sit with someone who has no idea of how to do the paper. Will result in them looking like they've finished the questions at top speed. Will leave you rushing for time.
  2. sing Jai-Ho, leaving the ones in front and behind you either feeling highly annoyed or singing along.

  3. wearing plastic bead necklaces that clang everytime you move ever so slightly to prevent butt cramps.

  4. looking up to see your friend's paper behind you because of the reflective surfaces of the metal plate on the lights.
  5. check out the cutie sitting at the other end of your row- cuz she's totally checking you out too ;)
  6. be absolutely brutal to your math paper and occasionally mutter explicits to scare and intimidate the person next to you.
  7. there's also something about the way Implicit Differentiations make you think of sappy love songs of 5 years ago..

No, He Can't Read My Poker Face.

In great need of Personal Space.

Am extremely introverted. Let me breathe.

If you love something, let it go. If it comes back, it is rightfully yours.

Lucky I'm in love with my best friend. . .

Lupus.

Definitely not music to my ears during this festive exam period.

The words younger, bone pains, rashes are still ringing in my ears as I type this.

What the-

How it goes is like this: my dear mummy read about lupus and then she got the idea that I may develop it. If I don't watch out. Because as a child I was rather, ehem, weak. And my mom said the syptoms matched =.=

As a result, I endured 5 minutes of lecture. She found out I haven't taken my shower, at 10 P.M. She further warned me of arthritis. I pledged to go shower immediately. Only to end up talking on the phone and nosing through Facebook.

Common Symptoms of Lupus:
Painful or swollen joints and muscle pain
Unexplained fever
Red rashes, most commonly on the face
Chest pain upon deep breathing
Unusual loss of hair
Pale or purple fingers or toes from cold or stress (Raynaud's phenomenon)
Sensitivity to the sun
Swelling (edema) in legs or around eyes
Mouth ulcers
Swollen glands
Extreme fatigue

Lets just say I had 6 out of 11 of the syptoms above when I was a child.

Oh well. Off to shower I go. Tata!

Wouldn't it be Nice if We Were Older

Today, I had an intense milk craving. So my bra and I headed down to our beloved supermart where I can feed my soul.

Full cream milk. AMG here comes my third thigh!

I finished half a litre during Math. Between 30 to 45 minutes. And after that my stomach expanded so much I felt like I was pregnant (not that I would know what that feels like, hoho)

Anyhoo I also learnt something about full-cream milk- their fat content.

It's zero! Milk has zero fat in it. Full cream!

It just couldn't get any better!

Oh but it does! It's zero right down to not one, not two, but four decimal places! Not even a trace of it is found!

Yummy.

Spoonerisms!

"Three cheers for our queer old dean!" (dear old queen, referring to Queen Victoria)
"Is it kisstomary to cuss the bride?" (customary to kiss)
"The Lord is a shoving leopard." (a loving shepherd)
"A blushing crow." (crushing blow)
"A well-boiled icicle" (well-oiled bicycle)
"You were fighting a liar in the quadrangle." (lighting a fire)
"Is the bean dizzy?" (dean busy)
"Someone is occupewing my pie. Please sew me to another sheet." (occupying my pew...show me to another seat)
"You have hissed all my mystery lectures. You have tasted a whole worm. Please leave Oxford on the next town drain." (missed...history, wasted...term, down train)

Dancing in the Moonlight.

To put it mildly, Les Ballets Grandiva's Men in Tutus was supercallifragilisticespiellydocious.

It was everything I imagined and more.

I was so awfully excited I could not sit still. My funny bones tickled so hard I think I might have developed osteoporosis.

And yet, I wished it wouldn't come to an end, two hours later.

The "ballerinos" were so feminine they put certain females to shame. They were so incredibly graceful despite their bulky frame and muscular torso. In fact, they looked almost feather-light in their elaborate tutus and pointe shoes. Their expressions were classic, their humorous twist was excrutiatingly funny I did not once think of the words "lame" or "swt".

Despite all that, I could not help but wonder if the audience watching the show actually realised just how much work was put into the show. Sure, it was hilarious, but do they see the elaborate footwork? Their posture, the "breakfast in, lunch in", shoulders down, chin up, stomach in, butt in, hips flat, feet turned out, upper body pulled up, growing taller, head-touch-the-ceiling, head turned out, arms rounded... and so much more. They jumped and landed en pointe, their grand jete, sissone ouverte, arabesque, attitude devant, Echappe, Fouetté en tournant, Piroutte,...amazing. I wonder too, if the audience knew the techniques. To the untrained eye, they would think some of the moves were complex. However, it all boils down to tricks and skills. Which is why it was pretty funny when they clapped more on the "easy" ones and not on the more complex moves. LOL, the dancers must be thinking we were so easy to please! Only few (including me) gave thunderous applause for the wonderful movements.

The all-too-familiar music fed my audio senses while my eyes feasted on the dancers. Some of the wonderful remakes included Swan Lake, The Dying Swan, Adagio, and classical ballet, of which I have forgotten the name.

To put it simply, it was the best RM 188 ever spent.

This is what friends do for each other.
Sadly, I don't know if I could ever carry you behind my back anymore.
Because you won't let me.
P.S. Extremely excited for tomorrow.
P.P.S Glad you understand =)

How Could This Happen To Me

I drove mindlessly out of the carpark.
As I was anticipating the next bump-

SCREEEECH!!!

My life flashed before me. Thankfully, the runner-up BANG did not follow.

My humble local ride is no match for his BMW 7 Series. The ang moh was on his phone. His car was so near I could wind down my window and stain it with my sweaty palms.
I shall shoot myself for even smiling sheepishly to him and mouthing sorry. Even though I had the right of way. He sped up to me.

With shaky hands, I drove myself to college this bright Friday morning. There goes my whole day.

Life is short. Spend it with the ones who matter.

On a brigher note, have a good weekend!

You Set My Heart on Fire.

Exams in approximately 12 days.

and that's not the only thing that's disturbing me.

Jai Ho!

The one song currently stuck in my head.

Ever since I saw the hilarious video of Kenny Sia doing a remake of the otherwise awesome dance (he imitated window-washing), I have searched high and low for it.
*not really, my brother had it in iTunes all along.*

You are the reason that I breathe;

You are the reason that I still believe;

You are my destiny-

Jai Ho!

Warning: Also makes Math extremely hard to comprehend =.=

Hell's So Close, Heaven's Out Of Reach.

If everyone is either going to Heaven or Hell when they die, I'm pretty sure it's extremely crowded by now.

What if they ran out of clouds or underground space?

And lets not even talk about Hell!

If everyone who does not call upon Jesus to save them, they will be banished to the flames of the Devil. Which means...pretty much everyone.

Which means Hell will be so much more happening.

Hmm, is that why there are ghosts roaming our friendly neighbourhood?

Because theirs got over-populated?

Talk about illegal immigrants!

I don't personally believe in ghoulies. Even though I've been said to have encountered one.

I have felt a presence for a long time in a holiday apartment.
And it wasn't until a year later that my dear mom told me that apparently a "friend" has been staying there for about a year (hoho...). For FREE.
It was an Indian, male ghost.
Male, Indian ghost.
Ghost, male, Indian.

I am darned.

For one thing, a perv has been watching me sleep.
However, if there was one thing I learnt, it was that:
Ghosts have religions too.

And for another, it was a Buddhist monk who told us of this "friend".

Needless to say, my freaked out mother never wanted to go there anymore.
I miss P.D. =(

On a lighter note, do let me know if you see a hot woman staring back at you as you comb your hair in front of the mirror at 12 midnight. With the lights off.

=D
